Ingredients:
Fish – 1kg, Karisal Pot-fish gravy powder – 80 grams, Groundnut Oil – 150ml, Fennel – 5 grams, Fenugreek – 5 grams, Curry leaves – As much as needed, Onion – 250 grams, Tomato – 400 grams, Garlic – 60 grams, Green chillies – 20 grams, Tamarind – 40 grams, Salt – As per taste, Water – As mentioned in the steps
Cooking Process:
Step 1:
Pour 150 ml of groundnut oil into the pan. Add 5 grams of fennel, 5 grams of fenugreek seeds, 5 grams of curry leaves, and 250 grams of onions. Shallow-fry the mixture until it achieves a golden tint.
Step 2:
Next, add 400 grams of tomatoes, 60 grams of garlic (cut into pieces), 20 grams of green chilies, and 80 grams of pot-fish gravy powder. Shallow-fry the mixture until the oil is separated.
Step 3:
In the third step, soak 40 grams of tamarind in 100 ml of water, filter it, and pour this into the pan. Add 1400 ml of water and appropriately boil the mixture.
Step 4:
Once it is well-boiled, add 1 kg of fish pieces and let it boil for an additional 10 minutes before removing the pan from the stove.
Our tasty pot-fish gravy is ready. Let the fish soak in the gravy for an hour before eating!
